Unscruplous Garage Door Salesman

Although it may be unpleasant to think about, the fact of the matter is that some businessmen in this world are unscrupulous, and they want to make you pay as much as possible while doing the least amount of work possible.
Many of these swindlers use a set nimber of tricks in their bags to take as much money from you as they can. For example"
    The Special Part Scam:
This situation will have you listening to a serious, grim technician as he gazes at your garage door. He will say that he has suddenly somehow "discovered" other problems with your door that didn't seem to be there before.  But he will get you the part you need, a special part for your garage door, for a special price. He clams that the part they need isn't made anymore, or some such.  But at the end of the day, you didn't need the part in the first place.
    The Limited TIme-Only Special Price
In this case, the unscrupulous man might tell you he can ive you a special price on the work he's abut to do. He'll smile, maybe tell you not to let his boss know that he's doing you this hude favor. He treid to make you feel lucky and special. This air of conspiracy might go to your head and make you think you're doing well when really he's ripping you off.
The Old Warranty Trick: The maintenance people will reassure you that you really need a home warranty on the new installment, and that it will ensure that you don't ever have to pay for repairs. Make sure you actually review any warranties before you sign.
The Security Trick: some sneaky businessmen may try to convince you (while haggling over a too-high price) that your safety is at risk, and that's why you should do as he says. He insists that it would be dangerous, irresponsible or downright amoral for you to refuse his suggestion. This is just to convince you to pay extra fees. If you're quite certain that there's no way it could actually be a safety issue, then you might be being swindled.
