Island has long been thought of as a small, quaint island with nothing much to
offer except stories of Anne and her Green Gables. However, in recent months, the island has
transformed into quite the hip place to be.
Just within the last month celebrities Taylor Swift, Regis Philbin and
Kelly Ripa all came to visit the once quiet Canadian Province. With the coming of these well-known American
icons, also comes a new found excitement on the island.
In addition to
the aforementioned celebs, the Dallas Stars may be bringing their training camp
to the island this coming fall. The
presence of this hockey team may be just the dose of professional sports the
island needs to bring in sports fans from all over and the die-hard sports fan
of the family.
If the celebrity
and sports hype isn’t enough, consider the beauty and history that the island
has to offer. Prince Edward Island is a
lovely place that has many scenic vistas and cozy hang out spots to offer as
well. It is a place that can be quiet
and relaxing as well as exciting and refreshing. The island is rife with greenery, rolling
hills and gorgeous red rock cliffs. The
outdoors side of the family will easily be met on this island.
The island offers
many places to stay as well. There are
camp grounds, hotels, B&B’s and cabins.
If the family is looking for some downtown excitement, then the hotel
avenue may be the way to go. If the
family is looking for some peaceful, outdoors time, then one of the island’s
many campgrounds will fit the bill.
There are also many nice houses with garages and garage doors that keep
the renter’s vehicles safely tucked away.
Either way one chooses to lodge, access to the island’s many
entertainment options is never far away.
One who decides
to vacation on this multi-faceted island will have to procure passports
first. But this is a small price to pay
for a vacation that will have the whole family entertained. Whether it is a hockey game, a music festival
or a hike in the red rocks on the ocean side, everyone will have a place to
enjoy themselves.

garage doors, get a sitter for the pets and take a trip to Prince Edward
