UFOs Attacking US Nuclear Facilities?

There have been a few recent news reports where former United States Air Force members have claimed that Unidentified Flying Objects attacked and altered some of the United States’ nuclear missiles back in the 1960s.

Now this sounds like a fantastical tale yet the individuals making the claim had to pass psychological profiles back when they were serving in the Air Force and are not individuals who would be prone to making up stories and lies.

Altering nuclear missiles through alien technology would seem to take a technology far beyond that available to people on Earth today.  Where current human technology has the power to alter the operation of something like an automatic garage door and the garage door opener, altering the capabilities of nuclear missiles in hardened silos is not something that is within the capabilities of friends or enemies of the United States today.

The former officers are coming forward now because of the availability of recently declassified documents.  Apparently, the UFOs and the aliens mainly were observing the nuclear arsenal although it seems that in at least a few instances, the aliens disarmed launch and guidance systems, disabling the missiles.

Could the aliens be testing humanity?  Could the aliens be watching to see if humans are worthy of joining the “United Federation of Planets?”  Given the reactions of most people to the idea of UFOs actually being possible combined with the responses of most governments, humans have probably been judged as not ready for such an invitation but it is always possible they will change their minds at some point and extend such an invitation.  That would be the point that the science fiction worlds would collide with real life, throwing everyone and everything into an uproar.

Would this bring the world of “Men In Black” to life?  Or maybe it would be the start of a universe envisioned by Gene Roddenberry, Isaac Asimov, Gordon R. Dickinson, or Frank Herbert.  Maybe the aliens would bring technology that would allow humans to develop a brand new way of opening garage doors or maybe the doors would open to other dimensions rather than just to the garage door.  Whatever the results of actual contacts with aliens turns out to be, when the aliens decide that they can contact humans directly and openly will be a day that all humans will recognize as the start of a new chapter in the development of humans (if aliens exist).  Maybe someday, the garage door will open to the individual spaceship and humans will jet out to the stars as easily as they drive to the grocery store today.
